The ADF Story

In 2012 Alexandra teamed up with an International Ministry of Sound DJ for the launch of the new innovative Company Alexandra Dance Fitness. Fast-forward to today and The ADF Dance Academy is what we are known as; a successful and exciting Dance Company providing inspirational learning experiences for those who just simply want to enjoy dancing or aspiring dancers to shape their future in dance.

Alexandra, a respected choreographer encourages all abilities to be a part of the ADF journey and success, providing a progressive route within the Academy for dedicated individuals to become part of the ADF Elite Team, Dance Crew or Cheerleading Squad aimed at nurturing versatile and passionate students with highly tuned technical, creative and performance skills ready for entry into competitions such as Dance Challenge UK where the Academy reached the Grand Finals and ICE where ADF were crowned Grand Champions to So You Want To Dance finalists and UK Starz winners, as well as major performances in the West End at Her Majesty’s Theatre and on the Strictly Come Dancing stage at The Blackpool Opera House-Winter Gardens.

The company is also proud to have featured in Vanity Fair as a result of creative fitness and inspiring Dance Academy classes in Sardinia Italy, gaining its proud reputation for outstanding performances internationally as well as in the UK.

What ADF Offer

Meet Alexandra

Alexandra discovered her love for dance at the age of 4. Mesmerised as dancers performed on the catwalk at the Ideal Home Exhibition, it was at that moment she found dance was where she belonged.

Beginning dance school at the age of 5, moving onto The BRIT School of Performing Arts at 16 achieving a national diploma and at 18 went onto performing as a professional dancer for Pineapple Dance and the International Sports Team at venues and stadiums all over the UK, in music videos and teaching in regional gyms including Sky Sports before utilizing knowledge in her own way to combine 3 passions of dance, fitness and music to create Alexandra Dance Fitness.

Quote From life as a dancer and teaching qualifications achieved, my ultimate goal was to create a youthful Dance Company with a fun vibe run by a dancer who taught, as opposed to a teacher that once danced. A friendly environment to learn, giving all abilities the opportunity to enjoy dance and those with the dancer drive to take dancing to the next level with opportunities and experiences into the dance world.

With my unique approach breaking the mould in the stereotypical learning process, it enables grasping each individuals most effective way of learning whilst building great relationships for all to feel free to be themselves and reach their best by having fun. For the learning experience to be valued just as highly as the outcome with achievements holding an importance at ADF, but the special touch being memories and a difference made from knowing we can forget things that were said and done, but we can never forget how something made us feel. If ADF enables all to feel a way they won’t forget and what is learnt can be bought out not only in dancing, but everyday life. This to me is making a difference through the love of Dance-That’s what counts.
